Sigh.
I guess everyone who appreciated Michael is pretty sad today. Utterly shocking. I felt compelled to post a little something both in writing and images.
I cannot claim to be a mega fan, but a fan nonetheless. I have several MJ records in my collection, there is no doubting that his music was bloody incredible, along with his dancing. You only have to look at people like Justin Timberlake to really see how Michael inspired people. All the crap that went alongside the good, I never really believed in. I just think he was an incredibly messed up and vulnerable individual, who people clearly took advantage of.
I was due to see him at the 02 on August 10th. I knew he wouldn't be performing like he was back in the 80s/90s, but it's Michael Jackson...how can you not see the great man live? However, even though I wanted to witness him live, I think the stress of these shows play a huge part in his death. Shame on the promoters for pushing him too far, I hope they have to pay back all the millions they made out of him now.
And to those taking part in the various jokes out there, shame on you. Let the man rest in peace, let him finally be free of all the trouble he has had during his life.
You were and will remain a legend.

Great tribute... Now lets all play his music and moonwalk x
wow you have actual records, top :o)
I was also due to see him on the 10th July (which got moved to march 2010), it's a sad affair no one will ever see him live again. At least he went knowing he could sell out 50 shows!
so refund or a special moving ticket? lol. x
